CrowdFlow AI is an immersive campus simulation and AI-powered wayfinding system designed to optimize navigation, reduce congestion, and improve public safety in real-time. Built as my MA thesis project at California State University, Long Beach, CrowdFlow AI blends predictive analytics, Unreal-based simulations, and AI tour guides to rethink how people move through shared spaces. Users interact with multilingual AI avatars that guide them through live crowd heatmaps, potential hazards, and alternate routes. CrowdFlow was developed for campus use but built with future scalability in mind: targeting stadiums, public transit hubs, museums, and even smart cities.

YEAR
2024-2025
ROLE
UX Strategist, System Designer, Uneal Engine Prototyper-Developer, Research Lead
SERVICES
AI System Design & Scenario Modeling
UX Strategy for Smart Navigation
User Research & Behavioral Mapping
Prototyping in Unity & Game Engine Simulation
AR-Ready Interaction Design
AI Avatar & Voice Interaction Design
Data-Driven Design Implementation
System Integration Strategy for Institutions
About the project
The goal of CrowdFlow AI was to enhance large-scale crowd navigation and safety by combining immersive design with real-world data.
We focused on:
Simulating real-time crowd behavior using game engine AI agents
Creating multilingual voice avatars for personalized wayfinding
Designing AR-ready maps and spatial markers to improve orientation
Supporting both everyday navigation and emergency evacuation scenarios
Generating insights through movement heatmaps and scenario testing
Building a system that bridges human-centered design with smart infrastructure
