Umbra is an award-winning, AI-generated short film, with over 10,000 views on youtube now, was created during the Gen:48 Hackathon, where teams were challenged to create a complete 1–4 minute film within 48 hours. Our story explores grief, transformation, and the unknown, set in a mystical forest haunted by shadowy forces and lost love. Using AI tools like RunwayML, ElevenLabs, and MidJourney, we crafted cinematic visuals, atmospheric sound design, and voice-narrated dialogue in record time. We fused myth, memory, and machine learning to create a visual poem with emotional weight and speculative depth.
